There were a few comments last time I posted about Piotrkowicz saying he lacked aesthetics and overall was "really ugly."
While I would say that during his time in the pro ranks Piotrkowicz has not quite lived up to the potential he showed at the 2007 and 2008 World Amateur Championships, he is, in my opinion, one of the bodybuilders who best exemplifies this blog. So anyway, here's more of the big Pole....
Above the huge Pole three weeks out from the Phoenix Pro which will take place August 27. And below, Piotrkowicz again, this time along with Radek Słodkiewicz and Marek Olejniczak, training at the PowerPit Gym in Gdańsk, Poland at the beginning of the month.
The BIG Pole training bis and tris two weeks before this weekend's Toronto Pro and three weeks before the Tampa Pro, which follows just a week later.
Piotrkowicz last competed at the Europa Show of Champions at the end of April. He finished 7th. Toronto will be his 5th contest this year, Tampa his 6th, as he continue to try and qualify for the Olympia. Though the 3-time World champ isn't quite in top form this season, he is another of the Europeans who seems to struggle in the ranking on this side of the Atlantic (his top placing over here being 3rd at the 2009 Sacramento Pro).
Big Pole Piotrkowicz didn't make the top 10 at the Olympia and was only 10th at the Arnold earlier in the year. At the Mr Europe in September however he did finally crack the top 5, placing 4th. I am not sure quite why he hasn't been placing higher in the IFBB pro ranks, he certainly has the size and is an aesthetically pleasing shape... maybe could do with tightening up a little from the back... Let's hope he places higher in 2011!
