Bodybuilder Busted Smuggling 150 Vials of Steroids Into Melbourne Airport

ABC news is reporting that a 43 year old Australian man was caught at Melbourne airport carrying almost 150 vials of steroids, and is expected to be charged with importing prohibited goods. After arriving on a flight from Hong Kong, he was stopped by Customs officials and found to be carrying steroids scattered around his person; in his pockets, around his belt and also in his luggage.

The maximum penalty for importing steroids into Australia is 5 years.

IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Marc Rainbow Facing Over 50 Drug Charges

Two kiwi bodybuilders are facing steroids charges after allegedly importing and selling a cocktail of the muscle-pumping prescription drugs to other competitors.

The cases have sparked new calls for bodybuilding officials to bring back drug testing, which was dropped about three years ago.

The men, from West Auckland, are nutritionist and former Mr New Zealand Marc William Rainbow, 42, and personal trainer Andrew James Van Lent, 24.

Most of the steroids charges, laid by the Ministry of Health under the Medicines Act, carry a fine of up to $40,000. Some have a penalty of six months' imprisonment. Rainbow and Van Lent each face more than 50 charges.

Police have also charged Rainbow with possessing instruments to make methamphetamine, as well as manufacturing and supplying the Class-A drug.

He and his business partner were allegedly importing the steroids through their business, SSIS Pharmaceuticals, and selling hundreds of bottles to individuals.

Rainbow was the first New Zealand bodybuilder to turn professional and competed successfully in the United States in the 90s. He won the Mr New Zealand title twice and Mr Australia title once. Rainbow will be back in the Auckland District Court next month.

British Model Jodie Marsh Trades Glam for Bodybuilding

Jodie Marsh's new look might surprise her fans - the downmarket tabloid's favourite has swapped glamour modelling for bodybuilding. In doing so the 30-year-old has dropped three dress sizes from a size 12 to a 6/8. But she isn't finished yet - planning to shed more weight and build up even bigger muscles.

Jodie showed off her new look in a photo shoot for this week's New! magazine. With her toned arms and the rippling muscles in her back, she looked completely different to her former glamour model self.

Jodie also showed off her tattoos - of which she has more than 100.

3 Shoulder Workout Exercises

This is a video of a shoulder workout that I did with Vince DelMonte while we were working out at the Las Vegas Athletic Club. We did underhand curl grip shoulder presses, wide grip up right rows, and curl grip front raises.

P.S.
Also be sure to check out Vince's No-Nonsense Muscle Building Program. This is one of, if not the, most comprehensive muscle building programs that I've ever seen. If you are looking to be one of the guys who can go to the pool or beach and take your shirt off and turn heads because of the killer shape you are in, then this is the program I'd recommend to help you get there.

Killer Shoulder Workout Power Dumbbell Lateral Raises

This is a killer shoulder exercise that my buddy Vince DelMonte showed me while we were working out at the Las Vegas Athletic Club. It’s Power Dumbbell Lateral Raises. It is basically a variation of the standard shoulder lateral raise but it lets you handle about twice as much weight and really overload your shoulders for an awesome muscle pump.

Give it a try in your next shoulder workout and then leave me a comment and let me know how you liked it.

If you would like to get some more cool muscle building tips, then

Florida Bodybuilding Couple Busted For Selling Steroids to Pro Athletes

The U.S. Attorney's Office is reviewing a case against two alleged steroid dealers, but agency spokesman Steve Cole said he can't speculate on if or when charges will be filed.

Polk Count Florida Sheriff's deputies said they have plenty of evidence that Richard "Andy" Thomas and his wife, Sandra, were big-time steroid dealers. But they're still trying to determine whether Richard Thomas was telling the truth when he said he is the biggest steroid provider in Central Florida and that he sold mostly to professional athletes, including those on the Washington Capitals hockey team and Washington Nationals baseball team.

The Thomases, who live in Lakeland, were arrested Tuesday after a tip from the Philadelphia office of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Sheriff Grady Judd said that detectives seized an estimated $200,000 in illegal steroids when the pair was arrested.

They will have their first appearance in court at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Messages seeking comment weren't immediately returned by Major League Baseball.

Washington Nationals President Stan Kasten said the team is using its resources to learn more about the case, according to the Washington Times. Capitals defenseman Donald Brashear told Baltimore radio station WJFK-AM he wasn't aware of steroid use by teammates.

"The Washington Capitals have no knowledge of any aspect of this allegation. Capitals players were subjected to no-notice testing three times in each of the past two seasons pursuant to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and there was no indication of any improper conduct or wrongdoing," NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly said in a statement.

"Even though there are no specifics provided in the story and we have no reason, at this point, to believe the allegations are true, the National Hockey League takes all matters of this nature very seriously and will conduct a prompt investigation."

Dick Patrick, Washington Capitals president, said his team has no reason to believe Thomas' allegations have merit. But he also said his team takes such accusations seriously.

Hardgainer Tips To Building Mass
By Jeff Anderson The "Muscle Nerd"

Are you a "hardgainer"?

You know...someone who is reeeeeally skinny and has a hard time
putting on muscle mass?

Well, one of the big problems hardgainers have is that the
don't have a hormone system that processes the "testosterone
chain" as efficiently as other guys.

Stinks, doesn't it?!

But here's a little trick you can try that is sure to kickstart
some new gains...

How To Boost Testosterone For More Muscle Mass...

Ok, here's what you do...

For one week, before each of your workouts (no matter which body
part you're targeting)...

...do 3 Sets of high volume Squats

I know, I know...you hate doing squats period, right?

But especially for scrawny hardgainers, squats are the "King"
of all mass building exercises because they use more total
muscle fibers than any other exercise.

You should also know that squats promote growth throughout the
whole body, not just the legs.

How? The squat involves multiple muscles, in fact it has been
estimated that there are up to 200 muscles involved in the squat.
Muscle building hormones are released during and after a Squat
workout in response to the physiological stress.

By starting your workout with 3 sets of squats (shoot for high
reps...like 15-20), you jumpstart your endocrine system to kick
up the production of anabolic hormones like test0sterone.

Plus...using a higher volume rather than lower, you also stimulate
the release of more human growth hormone that stimulates muscle
growth.

Do this 3 times a week and then move on to the rest of your
workout (such as your chest, shoulders, etc.)

The flood of healthy, mass-building hormones will benefit your
entire body and slather your scrawny frame with layers of
muscle in no time!
